Maha Chanok Mango Tree Professionally Grafted !

History

The Mahachanok (or Maha Chanok) mango is a cultivar of mango grown primarily in Thailand. It is a hybrid cultivar of Sunset and Nang Klanwan, developed in Chiang Mai. It is also grown in Australia, where it has been grafted onto existing Kensington Pride trees.

Description

The fruit of the Mahachanok mango tree is very elongated and curved, with a typical weight between 250 and 370 grams. It turns yellowish–orange with pink blush when ripe.

Comments

Mahachanok Mango is one of the most popular varieties in Thailand for eating ripe.

An extremely complex flavored and aromatic mango with a paper thin seed and very good fruit to seed ratio.

Mangoes are incredibly low maintenance. The saying "less is more" definitely applies to this amazing fruit tree !

Grafting - Grown from seed most mango trees will not yield predictable fruit or tree characteristics. Grafting affords the likelihood of fruit production in the first few years versus of waiting up to 10 years or more for a seedling to produce. Grafting also guarantees your tree will grow and produce fruit true to its desired cultivar retaining all desirable characteristics.
