Description
A solitary palm, the Carpentaria grows 30-65 feet tall and is grey to light tan with widely spaced rings. It has 10-12 leaves that are pinnate, long and arching. It’s crownshaft is smooth & green and it produces bright red/scarlet fruit.
Cultivation & Culture
The widely adaptable Carpentaria establishes easily in gardens and is handsome in all stages of its rapid growth. It needs ample amounts of water and fertilizer to flourish and mulching is recommended for optimum health.
Comments
This self-cleaning palm, planted in triples makes for a popular indoors species. As an outdoor palm it will grow quickly and uniformly creating a stately palm canopy.
