Ptychosperma macarthurii Palm Tree Seed
Ptychosperma macarthurii originally from northeastern Australia and areas of New Guinea is a small clustering palm that has become widely distributed as an ornamental.
Stems grow in dense clumps up to 20 feet tall and only 3 inches in diameter, thus appearing bamboo-like.
Ptychosperma macarthurii enjoys full sun, partial sun or partial shade and is also tolerant of a wide range of soils making it an easy and widely adaptable palm.
The MacArthur Palm will also do well as a potted plant indoors if it gets bright light. It's fast growing and the fruits are bright red making it useful as an ornamental.
