Description:
A very attractive clustering sometime solitary palm that grows in a perfect symmetrical shape and stays a rich green in full sun. It has an attractive dense clump of stems, which lends itself to being a great privacy screen in the yard. It’s a manageable sized palm with symmetrical clumping habit reaching 20 feet. The stems are tightly clustered and 2 inches in diameter. The stunning inflorescences are orange with contrasting maroon fruit which mature to black. Young plants are particularly attractive with large undivided leaflets.
Culture:
This palm can grow 20ft tall with a stem cluster of about 2 ½ft in diameter. The growth is steady and grows in a variety of soils including sandy and alkaline.

10b-11, Can withstand temperatures below freezing for short durations.

A dense and super green clustering palm that makes for a wonderful natural privacy screen.
Not bothered by drought or Florida’s alkaline soils !
